Messiah's Resurrection
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt
thou suffer thine Holy
One to see corruption.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at
thy
right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalms 16:10-11 (KJV)
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the
grave: for he shall
receive me. Selah.
Psalms 49:15 (KJV)
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand,
until I make
thine enemies thy footstool.
Psalms 110:1 (KJV)
Fulfillment in the New Testament
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek
Jesus of Nazareth,
which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where
they laid him.
Mark 16:6 (KJV)
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the
third day according to
the scriptures:
1 Cor 15:4 (KJV)
Jesus told His disciple ahead of time that He would rise again after He
was put to death. There were many witnesses of His resurrection.
Today we have to receive this by faith. It is not easy to believe that one
rose from the dead.
This is where the Holy Spirit comes into the picture. When Jesus
Christ is preached, the Holy Spirit is present to convict the ones in sin.
The Holy Spirit draws the sinner to repentance and draws a sinner to Christ.
When the word of God is preached by a person who is anointed by the Holy
Spirit, that word will quicken the hearts of those who are present to hear.
That same power that resurrected Jesus Christ is the same power that saves a
soul. God is the one that will grant them the faith to believe in the
name of Jesus Christ and that faith brings forth the fruit of repentance.
The soul becomes born again by the Spirit of God. Wow. They will
know at that point that Jesus Christ is truly resurrected.
God also gives
spiritual gifts to the church in order convince those that are not saved that Jesus is still
alive and truly was resurrected. Some are miraculously healed, some receive
miracles that the flesh cannot explain, and some people that once were so
evil no one can stand them change into a person who loves and shows
kindness. The new birth is something we can't see but we will see the
results of it.
The devil tries his best to discredit the churches that believe in
the power of healing that he rises up counterfeits or else tries to destroy
the ministries of the true ministers of God. He will try to get them into
sin,
and if that doesn't work he will try to get them so lifted up in pride that
they think they do the healing instead of God. No one should get the credit
for any true healing. God does it, we are just vessels of the Holy
Spirit. I believe God would do more healing if we would stop taking
the credit. If we take the credit people get their eyes on us instead of God
who is the one that saves them and keeps them. If their eyes are on
certain ministers, then when they fail, the people's faith is shattered.
However, if we get people's eyes on the true source, Jesus Christ, and we
fail, the people still believe in Jesus Christ.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom
they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have
not heard? and how shall they hear
without a preacher?
Rom 10:15 and how shall they preach, except they
be sent? even as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that
bring glad tidings of good things!
God did not leave us without a witness. The Holy Spirit was given
after Jesus Christ was resurrected. He gave gifts to us to help us
until He returns again. The gifts of the Spirit didn't stop after the
bible was completed as some believe because that which is perfect has not
yet come. Yes the bible is perfect but we are not. As long as
there is one soul upon the earth that needs Jesus Christ, the gifts of the
Spirit are needed. As long as one sick person exists, the gift of
healing is needed. There is not one gift of the Spirit that is not
needed today. Why would they die out?? When Jesus Comes and sets
up His kingdom and all people are saved, then we will not need the gifts of
the Spirit. Truly that is when the perfect one has come.
The Messiah's Ascension
Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity
captive: thou hast
received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God
might dwell among them.
Psalms 68:18 (KJV)
God gives gifts unto us through faith in Jesus Christ.
It is another reason that God sent Jesus.
- He gives us the gift of salvation. Being saved from sin and becoming
born again. Old things pass away and all things become new.
- Another gift is The Word. The washing of the water of the word
is powerful and cleanses our innermost being. We become sanctified
and set apart. We become more like Christ and less like the world
through the Word.
- The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift to empower us with gifts of
the spirit to be able to evangelize the world with the gospel. There
are many gifts of the Spirit given to the church to edify it and cause it
to grow.
- Gift of eternal life
- Gifts of healing
- Gift of tongues and interpretation of tongues
- Gift of wisdom and knowledge
- Gift of prophecy- this could be preaching or prophesying by the Spirit
of necessary things the church needs to hear concerning the present or the
future.
Fulfillment in the New Testament
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was
received up into
heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with
them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Mark 16:19-20 (KJV)
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was
parted from them,
and carried up into heaven.
And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
Luke 24:51-53 (KJV)
And when he had spoken these things, while they
beheld, he was taken
up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold,
two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?
this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in
like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Acts 1:9-11 (KJV)
After Jesus appeared to His disciple and others and instructed them to
tarry in Jerusalem until they received the promised gift of the Holy Spirit,
He then ascended up into Heaven at the right hand of God to continually
make intercession for all who believe until the day that He returns again to
receive all His believers and meet them in the air. He will set up a
kingdom on earth that will never pass away and that will be one of peace
and righteousness.
Eye has not seen neither has the ear heard and neither
can we fully understand what God has prepared for those that love Him.
But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up
stedfastly into heaven, and
saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing
on the right hand of God.
Acts 7:55-56 (KJV)
When a faithful follower of Jesus called Stephen finished preaching a
message to his accusers, they began to stone him and before Stephen
died he saw heaven open and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.
Stephen died because he told the truth. He died trying to tell people of
the savior, Jesus Christ.
Messiah's Return
Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the
sayings of the
prophecy of this book.
Rev 22:7 (KJV)
I believe His return is near, not not delay and miss out of eternal life.
Accept Jesus Christ as your savior today.
